Denis was born in Cape Town, South Africa and after being widowed, emigrated to Canada in 1975. He is survived by his sister Rita, brother Tom, and numerous friends and relatives in Canada, South Africa, Australia, the U.K. and U.S. Denis will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour and dry wit. Many thanks to Langley Lodge for the wonderful care they have provided for the last twelve years.

Age 64, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. She was born in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Sharon and her husband Alex moved to St. Petersburg in 2004 from White Rock, B.C.
She loved to travel, especially to meet family in Maui. She absolutely cherished her grandchildren, as they were her life\'s delight. She loved gatherings with family, close friends and her work colleagues and was very fond of her Coke, her Buicks and her new St. Pete home. She always thought of others before herself. Sharon was a true animal lover, and especially adored her beloved dog Fifer. She was an amazing mother, a loving and patient wife, and known to all others as a kind, generous and very special person. She was preceded in death by her father, John H. McLean.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Alex Young; her son, Clint (Michelle) McLean; her daughter, Holly McLean; her sister, Shelley (Barry) Galbiati; her mother, Kathleen McLean; her five grandchildren, Kristen, Jadyn, Austin, Dallas, and Dakota McLean; Alex\' children David & Wenda and grandchildren Myles and Margeaux. Plans for Sharon\'s interment will be at a later date in her home city in Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, voluntary donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

It is with sadness we announce the gentle passing of our beloved mom, nana, and great nana. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with her husband, Al, and other loved ones who had gone before. Bette is survived by her Children: Mike (Dar), Mary-Lou (Alan), Murray (Jacquie), Margo, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her beloved cat Minue. Bette lived her life for her children, and their families. She was always accepting, encouraging and above all else, loving. She will be remembered in many ways, not the least of which was her classy style of dressing impeccably for every occasion. She will be forever loved and cherished by all those whose lives she graced. Our deepest thanks to Langley Memorial Hospital especially the staffs of CCU who were so respectful, skilled and compassionate and Second South who eased her last hours in their gentle caring way. We wish to express our appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Rita Wittmann for her years of excellent care but most especially for her compassion for, and support of mom and her family during mom’s last few days. A memorial in celebration of Bette’s life will take place Wednesday January 20th at 2:00 pm in First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Rd, White Rock. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to WSPA (The World Society for the Protection of Animals)

Rud passed away unexpectedly at age 66 on January 10, 2010 in his sleep. He leaves behind his son Tony (Carrie) Madsen and granddaughters, Courtney and Danielle. Also survived by his brother Michael and predeceased by parents George ad Bess, brother Robert and sister Claudia Siemens. Rud was born August 20, 1943 in Winnipeg and moved to the Vancouver area in 1984. He had numerous friends in the Langley community and shared many happy moments with his sweetheart of 20 years, Alice Walter.
A celebration of his life will take place at Henderson\'s Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway on Friday, January 22 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his beloved Alano Club, 20433 Douglas Crescent, Langley, BC. V3A 4B6. Farewell Rud, it was a great ride and carry on writing!
