Over the pursuing 51 years, he served as accountant and auditor to many businesses, native bands, charities, towns and schools. He continued his work to the day before his passing with his usual passion and care for his clients. Rose is survived by Children: Bev, Nancy, Bob and Les; 10 Grandchildren; 4 Precious Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Joyce, Marilyn, Betty and Sharon and Brothers: Sonny and Wayne & numerous Nieces, Nephews & long time Friends. <br>Rose was born in Viscount, Saskatchewan. Ivan’s work in Hydro took them to Calgary, Alberta in 1965, to Smithers, BC in 1968 and then to Port Alberni, BC in 1976. Rose worked as a Telephone Operator in Souris, Manitoba and in Smithers, BC. Since August 2008 she has resided at the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers where she received wonderful care and made many friends. <br>She was born in Lewiston, Maine in 1916. She married Walter Taylor in 1942. They were always active in working toward making the world a better place for the generations to come. Outgoing, generous, warm-hearted, optimistic and always interested in others, she made a positive impact on many throughout her life. <br>She is survived by her brother Charles Knights (Evie); daughter Anne Chappe (Marc); son Rodney (Elaine); daughter-in-law Rose (Brian); daughter Tanya Nerland (Marvin); eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She has gone home to be with our dad and all our sisters (Ruby) and also her brothers and sisters who have gone before her. She was diagnosed with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and hernia since 2007. He leaves to mourn his death, his loving wife Colleen, three sons, Steven (Kristy), Dave (Donna), Dan (Kelly) and one daughter, Holly, Leslie Flint, six grandchildren, Cassidy, Brittany, Whitney, William, Catherine, Grant, and many relatives and friends. <br>He was predeceased by his parents Abel and Dorothy Helps, and sister Jean Cummings. Obie has been a resident of the Smithers/Telkwa area since 1954. Obie was a giant of a man who left large footprints in the hearts of many. He will be greatly missed. <br>A memorial was held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at the Telkwa Hall. She grew up in Canada and attained an AA degree in Business and Accounting. <br>She moved to California as a young college student, and there she met and fell in love with Robert Peter Bresser (Bob). Bob and Marina were married on May 25, 1957, in the Catholic Church. They settled in West Covina, CA, and started their family. As the family grew, they moved to Riverside, CA, then north to Susanville, CA, and finally to Smithers, BC in 1979. They had 7 children, and celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last May. <br>Marina was a devout wife and mother. She loved her husband and all her children unconditionally, as well as all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Marina had many loving friends, and extended family. <br>Marina was a friend to all she knew, and taught us much about unconditional love and acceptance. She easily gave all she had and always wanted to give more. <br>She regularly visited the sick and lonely. <br>Despite her health problems Marina found the motivation and energy to make the best out of life. She loved playing scrabble, sipping tea and walking with friends, listening to music, going to garage sales, baking and cooking for company. She grew a beautiful flower garden every season. <br>She loved hanging out with her kids and grandkids and never missed a birthday or special event. She loved road trips and travel abroad. <br>In Smithers, she worked as a secretary for Calderwood Reality, The Ministry of Forests and the Ministry of Social Services. After retiring, she volunteered for the Pro-Life office. Pro-Life was very deep to her heart and she was very active in the organization. She loved babies. <br>Marina was a member of the Pro-Life Executive Committee, the Catholic Women’s League, the Schizophrenia Society, and The Red Hat Ladies. <br>Marina is survived by: <br>Her husband: Bob Bresser of Smithers. <br>Children: Lori Kampf of Kamloops, Lynn Bresser, Todd Bresser (Diana) and Leslie Bresser of Telkwa. <br>Grandchildren: Jason Danner, Natiea Vinson, Leayra Donaldson, Renesha Bresser, Jeremy Beaubien, Clayton Beaubien, Laura Beaubien, Rebecca Beaubien, Desiree Olson, Danielle Olson, Dallas Olson, Levi Olson. <br>Great Grandchildren: Sarabel Danner, Clare Beaubien, Holly Beaubien. <br>Marina was predeceased by her father, mother and 2 sisters.   <br>She was also predeceased by her son, Ted Bresser in 1987, her daughter, Lisa Beaubien in 2005, and her son, Tom Bresser in 2009. <br>They are rejoicing in heaven, but she is greatly missed by her family, extended family and many friends. <br>Marina loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart. She worked at various jobs until she joined BC Ferries and had worked there for the last 21 years. <br>After the break down of her marriage to John she met the love of her life, Jim Nicholl, whom she has been with for many years. <br>Wilma is survived by her partner Jim, daughter  Debbie (Ron) Dewar of Nanaimo, son Roland (Denise) of Comox and her grandchildren Zack, Rachel, Nicole, Evan Shauna, Lyndie and Connor.  Her sister Agnes (Lloyd) of Abbotsford and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She was 92. <br>Born Phyllis Dakin in Frankfort Ontario her family moved to a farm in the Bull River area of the East Kootenay in 1921. She married Geoff Burton in 1940 when she was 24 and they lived in several BC communities including Sheep Creek, Retallick, Vernon, Williams Lake, Quesnel, Golden and finally in 1971,Windermere. She was predeceased by her husband, Geoff, in 2001 and in 2004 Treva came to the Bulkley Valley.  <br>She leaves behind four children, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild; as well as many friends and family throughout the Columbia/Kootenay region and Bulkley Valley. She will be sorely missed.  <br>In celebration of her life and her vision, the family is hoping to assemble a record of Treva’s paintings. He is predeceased by sisters Janet and Brenda, brothers Charles and Colter. <br>Fletcher is well remembered and respected as a Tahltan elder, business leader, hunting guide and outfitter, horseman, equipment operator, song writer and singer. He ran his internationally known business Tahltan Outfitters for 45 years. His knowledge of the land of his ancestors and its animals was passed on to his children and grandchildren.
