margin-bottom: 1em; min-height:110px;\"> 				Honor Jane Elizabeth Pesch (nee Evans), was born in Edmonton, AB Aug. 30, 1919, the second youngest of five children to Harry and Isabel Evans.  She graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA degree. <br>	In 1944 she married Ken Pesch of Venice, California and in 1945 they moved to the Salmon Arm area, where they raised four children.  She was a voracious reader and loved doing cryptic puzzles, playing scrabble and any games that challenged her brilliant mind.  She was also a champion knitter and donated her time and talent producing many beautiful sweaters for orphans in the Ukraine.  She had a generous spirit and was a great cook and homemaker. <br>	She and Ken had sixty-six wonderful years together.  She will be sorely missed by her husband Ken, her children; Jane, Frances, Marshall and Oliver Pesch, daughters in law Sharon Bostick and Gloria Pesch, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was born September 29, 1938 in St. Boniface, Man, to Art and May Tulloch. He always said that being a middle child prepared him for adaptation and this was very evident: Bruce was comfortable with people from all walks of life. <br>	Bruce was predeceased by his parents, sister, Linda, brothers Raymond, Barry, Art and Neil as well as two children, Kimberly and Robert. <br>	He is survived by his wife Kathie, daughters Heather Rashke(Tim), Kathy Ascroft (Guy) Joanne Paquette. and son, Dax Mortimer, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Heather Eibner (Len) and sisters-in-law, Lynda, Rosario and Mavis. There are also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that he has left behind.  We will all miss your calm manner and broad smile. We love you husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend. <br>	Bruce did his grade-school education and steam engineering in Winnipeg.  He entered University as an adult student, having never graduated from High School. Bruce earned two degrees - a BA in Economics and a BEd. <br>	He worked as a Steam Engineer in Winnipeg, Calgary and Freeport, Bahamas.  His teaching career was enjoyed in Calgary, Waterhen Lake, Sask, Cold Lake, Ab, The Kingdom of Tonga, Western Australia and Mainland China. <br>	Bruce was an active community member wherever he lived. He served as a Boy Scout Leader, in the Reserves of Canadian Forces, and in Kiwanis Clubs. Most recently he volunteered with ESS, the White Lake Fire Suppression Committee, the White Lake Rural Association and with the Sorrento Food Bank. <br>	Prior to his kidney failure he travelled extensively, hiked mountains, snorkelled, cycled, curled and was an accomplished tennis player. Bruce loved a variety of music.  He played the clarinet in his youth, sang in many choirs and most recently, The Shuswap Singers. <br>	The family would like to thank Drs. Michaud and Wijeyesinghe as well as Pam White  and Deb Goodman in the PD unit of the Royal Inland Hospital for their committed care of their loved one, Bruce. <br>	The funeral service will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints,  1400 20 St. NE, Thursday, February 4 @ 1:00 PM. Barbara was born in 1927 in Gooding, Idaho and was raised in Oregon and California. She, with her family, emigrated to Canada in 1969 and had lived in Salmon Arm for the past 40 years. He moved to Ferintosh, Alberta when he was 10.  He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at 21, serving 4 years as a flight instructor and a bomber pilot.  He received the distinguished flying cross. <br>	George married Hertha on November 8, 1946.  They moved from Edmonton in 1983, retiring in Blind Bay, BC.  In 2004, they moved to Salmon Arm.  George was a devoted husband who was loved by his family.  He enjoyed many activities with his family and friends including RVing and world travel.  Square dancing in the Blind Bay area was something that both Hertha and George enjoyed and it allowed them the opportunity to meet many new friends and neighbors. He was a handyman in his spare time and enjoyed building and repairing most anything that he was asked to or set his mind to. Building their new home in Blind Bay upon his retirement was something he was especially proud of. <br>	George is survived by his wife Hertha, two children Ken (Bonnie-Jean) Haslop of Red Deer; Connie (Brian) Duquette of Blind Bay; 4 grandchildren, Lori-Ann, Kelly, Jacinda, and Jocelyn; 3 great grandchildren, Shaun, Riley, & Tyler Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews. <br>	George was predeceased by his sister, Edna (Melvin) Krinke and brother, Charles (Marge) Haslop. <br>	Cremation arrangements entrusted to Bowers Funeral home and Crematorium, Salmon Arm. He worked for CP Rail for 30 years where he met many lifelong friends. His happiest moments were spent on Shuswap Lake boating, skiing and fishing with his family and friends. <br>	Robert leaves behind his children Chris (Courtney), Madelynn and Tony; mother of his children, Deanna; sisters Ann (Ed), Paulette (Wayne); brothers John (Debbie), Frank (Caroline) and his cherished nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Ruth will be forever missed by her loving husband Guy; children, Della Ranger (Doug), Shirley Thompson (Doug), Nelson Chamberlin (Barb), Cliff Chamberlin (Barb), Leslyn Martin (George), Ken Chamberlin (Janice), Cynthia Chamberlin (Andreas), Catherine Chamberlin (David); as well as 22 well loved grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren plus two great grandchildren on their way; sister Oz, sister-in-laws: Ena, and Cora,  sister & brother-in-law Florence & John Ward, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Ruth was pre-deceased by grandson Robin, son-in-law Doug, and daughter-in-law Janice.  Guy and Ruth met in 1939 and have been happily married since March 30, 1940.  Five of their children were born in Quebec and another three followed in Ontario.  In 1972, they moved to NWT where Ruth continued her teaching career as a Home Economics teacher until 1979 when they moved to Anglemont, B.C and finally Salmon Arm, B.C in 1998.   Along with teaching, Ruth was passionate about swimming, dancing, crocheting, smocking, cribbage, bowling, reading and knitting for her many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ruth has always been an active member in the community; including involvement in the Anglemont Seniors Center, The Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies’ Auxiliary, and B.C Senior Games.  Ruth competed in the BC Seniors Games as a swimmer, and sat on the Board of Directors for approximately 10 years.  Ruth’s wonderful attitude about life has been passed down through the generations, and everything was possible in her eyes. Her constant activity was such a good role model for both family and friends--there was no sitting on the sidelines for her and she and Guy were always there when new feat presented itself. She has touched so many people and each one came away feeling younger, better and more able to face the world. For this we will be eternally grateful. He owned and managed two automotive body shops in Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe Alberta, called Doug’s auto body. Dougie moved away from Alberta years ago, residing in the Shuswap for many years.
