After putting up a great fight, Eldon peacefully succumbed to cancer.  Eldon was born in Balcarres, Saskatchewan.  Eldon is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elaine; son Rick (Doreen); daughter Dori (Ian); and daughter Lori (Rob). Also survived by his doting grandchildren Eldon (Serena); Ryan; Nathan; Chris; Tyler; Patrick; Kevin; Shannon and great-granddaughter Avery.  Also left to mourn is his family in Saskatchewan, brothers Mervyn; Lloyd; Ken (Phyl); and sisters Phyllis (Ray); Gwen and many brother in-laws; sister in-laws; nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his father David; mother Alma; and sister Audrey.  <br> Eldon was successful in the Plumbing and Heating Business for over 50 years in Indian Head and Regina, Sask., Parma, Idaho, and Agassiz, BC.  He was well known for his company Mt. Cheam Plumbing & Heating Ltd in Agassiz.  Eldon was dedicated to service in the Agassiz Harrison Lions Club for 37 years including 2 tenures as president; Agassiz Harrison Senior Citizen\'\'s Housing Society; and Royal Canadian Legion.  Eldon had a very generous nature and was known for never turning down help for people who had no heat or water that were in financial need.   Over his life, Eldon enjoyed many hobbies including ice curling, floor curling, hunting, fishing and  RVing in his motor home.  Above all Eldon valued time spent with his family. He loved the job of manning the campfire and leading the sing a long with his kids and grandkids. He will always be lovingly remembered in the hearts of his family.  <br>The family would like to thank Dr. MacIntosh, the staff of Fraser Valley Home Support and the staff of the Chilliwack Hospital for their compassionate care.  There will be a Celebration of Eldon\'\'s life at Agassiz United Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 9th. Tea will follow in the church hall. We will hear the echo of her laughter, and see the flowers bloom in her garden. Her greatest joys were her family. <br> She will be sadly missed by her husband of 47 years, Wiebe Vander Wyk and her 4 children Rita (Peter) Vanlaerhoven, Bruce (Susi) Vander Wyk, Don (Terri) Vander Wyk, and Eric Vander Wyk, Sarah and Keira, as well as her grandchildren Scott, Alex, Linda, and Trevor Vanlaerhoven, Dexter, Holli, Amy, Megan, Caitlin, and Jayden Vander Wyk. Froukje was born on September 11th 1941 in Siegerswouda, Friesland, Netherlands. She was the oldest of 10 children with 3 older step siblings. She met Wiebe in the Netherlands in 1960, and immigrated to Canada in 1961 to follow the man she loved. They married in 1962. Wiebe and Froukje lived the life of dairy farmers, working hard and making a good life for the family they raised. They lived in Pitt Meadows and Dewdney before moving to Agassiz in 1979 where they still farm today. Froukje\'s passions were her flowers, vegetable garden, puzzling, and family get-togethers. Her greatest passion was her grandchildren, who she loved dearly.  Our family would like to thank the quick response of the Agassiz Ambulance Service and the Agassiz Fire Department. He was born on March 28th 1912 in Innisfail, Alberta. <br>Frank or Pete is survived by daughter Gayle (Blaine) Wells, grandchildren September Wells (Ron), Shannon (Dwayne) Fry. Great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Singer, Jaime, Crystal, Kelly and Hannah Fry, Elizabeth and Samantha Grychuk. He was predeceased by his wife Norma, great-granddaughter Teresa Fry, 4 sisters and 6 brothers. <br>Frank McInroy resided in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C., for 64 years. He built and operated the service station that is there today. He built and installed the furnace in the memorial hall. Frank was a village councillor, School Board Trustee, and Ass. Fire Chief. He was in the Navy during World War II. Frank spent a number of years in the Williams Lake and Horsefly area where he met his wife Norma Dogherty.
